What kind of hunting can you do in Virginia?
Some of the game species in Virginia include:
- Big game including deer, black bear, elk and turkey.
- Small game including grouse, rabbit, squirrel, and woodcock.
- Waterfowl and other migratory game birds including ducks, geese, and dove.
- Furbearers including bobcat, fisher, fox, coyote among others.
What is illegal to hunt in Virginia?
A. The following is unlawful: 1. To hunt or kill any wild bird or wild animal, including any nuisance species, with a gun, firearm, or other weapon, or to hunt or kill any deer or bear with a gun, firearm, or other weapon with the aid or assistance of dogs, on Sunday.
Is hunting deer legal in Virginia?
